The transmission of an inheritance
Like the Breton company, Belem is a living witness of maritime history. Since 2013, Dalmard Marine has been a partner of the Belem Foundation and becomes its official textile supplier and distributor in 2018.
Created in 1922 in Paimpol by Armand Le Guen, sailor of the French Navy, Dalmard Marine made waxes and tunics for fishermen from Iceland facing terrible weather conditions in the seas of the far north.
Built in 1896 in Nantes, the Belem is the last French three-masted sailing today. Having become a media icon and emblematic of the maritime heritage, he represents France and its traditions during gatherings of tall ships and at the occasion of events abroad.*
Dalmard Marine is proud to support the Belem, which had a spectacular year in 2024. The three-masted ship entered the annals of Olympic history. It was in the global spotlight on 8 May 2024 in Marseille.

The Belem capsule collection is made up of iconic sailor garments designed and created in Paimpol: sailor sweaters, breton shirts, polo shirts, t-shirts, sailor hats and scarves.
