A legendary comic book character created by Hugo Pratt, Corto Maltese has for decades embodied the spirit of the free-spirited sailor, guided by the horizon, curiosity and a love of travel. This vision strikes a natural chord with Dalmard Marine, a textile company founded in Paimpol and a specialist in marine clothing for over a century. From this collaboration emerged a capsule collection inspired by the world of Corto Maltese and maritime tradition: a wardrobe designed for those seeking authenticity, durability and timeless elegance.

To design this capsule collection, we drew inspiration from the world of the comic book *Les Celtiques*, one of the most memorable stories in the series. In this album, Corto Maltese traverses the landscapes of Celtic Europe, from ports and cliffs to the North Sea. The atmosphere blends mystery, poetry and maritime adventures. The collection captures this spirit of travel: each design evokes a stopover, a place or a region traversed by Corto Maltese throughout his adventures.
A two-stage launch
The Corto Maltese x Dalmard Marine collection brings together iconic pieces from the nautical wardrobe. It includes a men’s wool-blend pea coat, as well as unisex styles: a sailor jumper, a striped top, a sweatshirt and a T-shirt. Accessories complete this capsule collection: a beanie, a scarf and a striped tote bag.
Each piece is characterised by a simple, timeless style. The embroidery, crafted in the Dalmard Marine workshop in Paimpol, reflects the precision and meticulousness of local craftsmanship. The entire collection is made in Europe, in accordance with the highest standards of craftsmanship.
The launch of this capsule collection follows a symbolic timeline, echoes the world of Corto Maltese:
- 15 April 2026: official launch of the collection in Paimpol
From this date, the pieces will be available for pre-order on the Dalmard Marine online store.
- From 8 July 2026 : delivery of online pre-orders and the collection going on sale through the retail network (including La Maison du Caban Dalmard Marine in Paimpol).
