Expédition Akunaaq

Dalmard Marine supports the expedition of an engaged artist in the Arctic

Since early March 2020, Ségolène Cavelot, jewelry designer, left with other artists in Greenland to raise public awareness about the environment. Dalmard Marine supports her in this great adventure.

Artists residence

Ségolène Cavelot is a jewelry designer and particularly sensitive to the environment. She contacted us few months ago about her project to go on an artists residence in the Arctic. We were immediately on board to support the project !

Owner of the workshop "La Tour des Anges" in Périgueux, Ségolène Cavelot applied to be part of the artists residence organized in March 2020 by the association "Le Manguier", on a boat based in the Arctic. Her work was noticed and selected from dozens of other folders, in particular thanks to the ecological values she defended. Her dream has become true!

The purpose of this expedition? Go and discover a nature and a population that suffer directly from climate change and bring back to France enough to raise public awareness on the subject.

"From wonder comes respect"

Passionate about ecology, Ségolène is a graduate of the Boulle School in Paris, regular customer of our brand.

Currently in Akunnaaq, in the southwest of Greenland, Ségolène works on the following theme: "from wonder is born respect". She takes photos, collects materials, feeds a travel diary ... everything that will allow her on her return to encourage young and old to protect our planet.

Sharing her taste for adventure and her sensitivity to respect for the environment, we follow Ségolène's expedition with great interest on her social networks : Facebook and Instagram. We are pleased to share some of his photos with you :
