Dalmard Marine awarded the Éponymes Trophy

At the Éponymes Trophy award ceremony 2017 held on Tuesday 28 November 2017 at the Senate in Paris, Dalmard Marine was presented with the Éponymes Trophy 2017. The aim of this ceremony is to honour the managers of companies named after their founding family.

Longevity and values

The Éponymes Trophies are awarded according to the association’s criteria: ethics and growth, longevity and the passing on of values. The trophies take the form of a silver cylinder, identical to the baton that runners pass on during a relay race.

Éponymes is a non-profit organisation set up by Bernard Logié in 1999. The association’s aim is to share the cause of family enterprises that carry the family name, to promote and pass on their values and governance and management principles through the family members concerned and the public, as well as to contribute towards raising awareness of family enterprises and eponyms in collaboration with academic institutions and the companies themselves.

Christophe Pichard, President of the association Éponymes, is delighted to see the award go to the company Dalmard Marine: “The handing over of the baton from generation to generation at the heart of the company Dalmard Marine is an excellent example for all of the Éponymes entrepreneurs. Maxime and Céline Dalmard have our full support as they fly the flag passed on to them by their predecessors.”

Thierry Dalmard, company director: “This trophy means a lot to our family. It rewards our hard work and the tradition of our trade. Our mission at the heart of the enterprise is to enable our know-how to live on and to pass on the company spirit to generations to come.”

Maxime Dalmard, co-director: “I am very proud that the company has received this award which honours the men and women who have been responsible for the growth of the enterprise since its creation. Our Breton brand is lucky to have very solid foundations. As a representative of the fourth generation, I strongly believe that we need to preserve our DNA so that our company, which will soon be one hundred years old, continues to look towards the future.”
